About Sara
Sara is now resident
in the City of Circus, Montreal, where she continues to teach, train and
perform while attending McGill University. It is quite a change
from her last gig, performing in southern Turkey with FUNK

She recently completed an extended stint in Cape Town, South Africa where she performed, trained
and taught with
The Zip Zap Circus School for Social Change
– an extraordinary group of people dedicated to changing the world through
circus performance. She has
been a passionate aerial performer since she began circus
training at
Independent Lake Camp in
Pennsylvania
at age seven. She has worked on aerial
fabric (silk, scarf, tissu), lyra (hoop, cerceau), net, Spanish web, static, swinging and flying
trapeze, and cloud swing. A co-founder with Ann Behrends of the
AirBorne!
DC aerial performance cooperative,
she also
performed for six years
with Air Dance Bernasconi.
A Finalist in The Washington Post's Music and Dance Scholarship
Awards, she is a graduate of
Cirque du Soleil's Cirque du Monde Social Circus Training of Trainers
Program, and has also trained in Chile at the Circo del
Mundo circus school. Currently teaching at Trapezium in
